Mirror 42 began with two musicians from opposite sides of the world. Emma is from New York. Alec grew up in Tasmania. We met while making music at sea.
Our name plays on the mirrored latitudes around 42° north and south: New York’s skyline and Tasmania’s wilderness, reflected across the equator.
Vocalist and pianist with a BM (Bachelor of Music) in Performance from Berklee College of Music, with studies in Boston and Spain. Her professional piano-vocal and dueling-piano experience brings jazz artistry, requests and audience connection. While singing, Emma adds shaker and auxiliary percussion to drive the groove and lift the energy.
VOICE · PIANO · AUXILIARY PERCUSSIONPianist, guitarist, upright bassist, supporting vocalist and arranger who studied Contemporary Performance at the Australian Institute of Music (AIM). His jazz, musical theatre and cruise house-band experience brings rich harmonies, rhythmic drive and inventive arrangements to everything from intimate standards to rock anthems.
